If you want your stuff to not turn off, set your power profile for windows to performance and see if that changes things. When a computer goes to sleep under windows, it powers down all it can and then goes to sleep to save the maximum ammount of power. While the start menu is displayed, I then select Settings. If its only asleep for a few minutes there is no problem (or so it seems) but if its asleep for an hour or more then issues arise. The lights wouldn't come back on either after waking from sleep.
